[20:06] [Morrigan] Gensokyo you mean?

[20:08] [Morrigan] It's quite the place. The easiest way to describe it is it's a remnant of a world that no longer exists - Japan as it once was over 150 years ago. Magic is very much real there.
[20:09] [Morrigan] And the youkai and spirits that are more or less folklore and legend here are flesh and blood there. What's impossible in this world is possible there.

[20:12] [Morrigan] Despite its dangers it's a magnificently beautiful place. If he'd never been able to return home Solarchos would have been very happy there.

[20:15] [Morrigan] Some of the youkai there aren't exactly friendly, and Yukari's definitely got some kind of plan going on regarding the human population. The women outnumber the men by a factor of 4 to 1 and it's deliberately kept that way.

[20:20] [Morrigan] I think Yukari's got some kind of weird eugenics program going on.
[20:21] [Morrigan] I still can't believe they remember us all so vividly and powefully. It's like no time's passed at all.
[20:22] [Morrigan] And Isabella, you probably have NO idea what we're talking about, right?
[20:23] [+David O'Cain (casual)] Go back to that men to women factor for a moment. Why do the women outnumber the guys by that much?
[20:25] [Morrigan] I'm really not sure. Ran told me once that it had something to do with population control. They didn't want the humans growing too quickly and putting too much of a strain on the environment. They also wanted a way to allow the humans to grow quickly in the event of an unforeseen disaster.

[20:26] [Morrigan] When you crunch the numbers, the only way to really influence population growth in either direction like that is to have the women outnumber the men.
[20:27] [Morrigan] And every so often to add variation to the gene pool Yukari would "spirit away" someone from the Outside World and drop them into the human village.
[20:27] [Morrigan] You've met Yukari by now, haven't you.
[20:28] [+David O'Cain (casual)] Yeah. Seemed like a nice gal to talk to.
[20:29] [Morrigan] She's smarter and craftier than she lets on. She keeps tabs on all of the humans there and oversees the whole population thing I was telling you about.
[20:29] [+David O'Cain (casual)] Gotcha. What if someone that isn't human causing hell?
[20:31] [Morrigan] The humans are far from helpless. They've all got mystical abilities to a minor degree, but some of the girls there are astonishingly powerful spell-casters. Easily the match for any one of the Senshi here.

[20:32] [Morrigan] Possibly, yes. Solarchos certainly caused one HELL of a stir when he showed up there.
[20:33] [Morrigan] In fact, didn't Yukari regale you with one of the Onryo's most famous battles?
[20:34] [+David O'Cain (casual)] Don't remember if she did. She only refered him as the Onryo.
[20:35] [Morrigan] About how Solarchos once killed a whole bunch of wolf-youkai all by himself?
[20:35] [Morrigan] And how he killed the last of the wolf-youkai attacking him by sneaking up behind it, pulling its skull out of its own head and then beating it to death with it?

[20:37] [Morrigan] Oh god, don't get me started with Red vs. Blue. You should have SEEN what happened when Lisara, Jayce, Satyr, and Leady brought one of our first Warthogs over there.

[20:39] [Morrigan] Things got really weird, really fast. I think that Warthog actually sent out some freaky psychic vibrations in all directions that affected all of the girl's minds.
[20:41] > Morrigan begins casting a spell, creating a fairly large illusion. It shows a rather large and quite lovely lake at the top of a mountain, overlooking a huge expanse of rolling hills and lush forests far below.
[20:43] > Morrigan points to two figures standing near a rocky ledge. One is a tall, amble girl with long red hair wearing a long green dress, green vest, white shirt, and a Chinese cap. The other girl has purple hair and wears a pink coat, striped dress, and a pink mop-hat with a crescent moon pendant attached to it.
[20:43] [Morrigan] The red-head Chinese girl is Meiling. The purple-haired girl is Patchouli Knowledge. Trust me, this gets WEIRD.

And the only reason that we set up a Scarlet Devil Base here is because there’s a Lunar Rabbit Base over there. And the only reason they have a Lunar Rabbit Base over there is because we’ve got a Scarlet Devil Base over here. ”
[20:48] [~Meiling Hong] “ Yeah, that’s because Remilia and Kaguya are kind of upset at each other right now because they both want to occupy the same space and neither wants to share. ”
